Ardantane Lughnassad Celebration

Lughnassad is named for Lugh, the Irish god of the sun and harvest, and a master of all skills: warrior, bard, healer, you name it. Anyone interested in paganism, Wicca, or learning about OLW is welcome to join OLW members for an informal dinner on the first (and occasionally the second) Friday of each month. Ardantane Mabon Celebration

Ardantane will host at the Celtic harvest festival of Mabon on Friday, September 20, and people are invited to gather at 6:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public, and will take place at the geodesic dome at Ardantane, a educational and retreat center located about seven miles south of Jemez Springs. Mabon marks the fruit and vegetable harvest, and is known to many as “The Pagan Thanksgiving.” It follows the grain harvest of Lughnassad, and precedes the meat harvest and commemoration…
